History - About us
The freight forwarding company Cramer KG was founded in 1958 by Mr. Franz H. Cramer Sr.
With a large dose of entrepreneurial spirit, an old Magirus truck, and a Tempo three-wheeler, he began his career as a railway freight forwarder. Initially, he carried out removals for soldiers of the then still young German Federal Armed Forces.
International transport services were gradually established. The vehicle fleet was expanded and adapted to meet the demands of the orders and deployed accordingly.
For example, diplomatic goods and commercial furniture were transported to Italy, Türkiye, and the Middle East. Return loads consisted of textiles, woven goods, and furniture.
In the early 1970s, swap bodies were introduced for interchangeable transport. The handling of sea and air freight also became increasingly important. In addition to pure forwarding activities, warehousing was continuously expanded.
Today we are a third-generation, owner-managed freight forwarding company.
Our main focus remains on furniture transport. In addition to standard removals, we also handle office/company relocations, overseas removals, and trade fair transport.
