Sea freight rates doubled
Eighteen shipping companies are currently avoiding the Red Sea due to fears of attacks by Houthi rebels. The detour via South Africa is time-consuming, and this is now reflected in freight rates.

Truck toll - Toll Collect
From December 1, 2023, truck tolls on German roads are set to increase significantly. An additional toll component for traffic-related CO₂ emissions will then come into effect, according to the draft of a "Third Act Amending Toll Regulations" from the Federal Government. The industry's fears that toll rates would almost double have been confirmed.

New swap bodies
We are once again expanding our fleet of swap bodies for storage purposes. These swap bodies are specially designed for furniture transport. Forced ventilation along the roof edges ensures safe and dry storage and transport.

A new Mercedes Sprinter will be delivered.
July doesn't just bring sunshine...
After a long wait, we are finally able to take delivery of our new Mercedes Sprinter with EURO 6 standard and box body.

New truck
We are also taking delivery of a new truck this year.
Enen Iveco Eurocargo 7.5 tonnes with Euro 6 technology.
The vehicle is equipped with two full-size beds, air conditioning, and auxiliary heating specifically for European long-distance transport.
A special feature in the 7.49 ton range is the high payload of 2400 kg and the 9-speed split gearbox.

Looking back into the past
This is what our layout looked like in 1970.
Using the whiteboard, which displayed four weeks at a time, available appointments could be quickly viewed, and vehicles, personnel, and routes could be planned accordingly. The counterpart to the whiteboard was the large DIN A5 dispatch book, which covered an entire year.
A very, very difficult book...
Today, our forwarding software handles personnel and vehicle planning.
However, the overdraft facility is still in daily use.

1:87 scale model
For the company's 60th anniversary, our staff gave us a special gift.
Countless hours of work went into creating a 1:87 scale model of our company headquarters.
Many small details, such as flower boxes, parasols, parked cars, and maneuvering trucks, are only noticeable upon closer inspection. Today, the model stands in the meeting room and is still an eye-catcher.
Many customers return time and again to admire the model while enjoying a cup of coffee.

New truck
Mercedes Benz Actros Euro 6 Technology
We have taken delivery of a new Mercedes-Benz Actros 18.360 for European long-haul transport. This truck is also configured as a BDF swap body chassis with a fold-down liftgate to efficiently handle orders.

Moving during Corona?
Moving is still permitted in Germany – but anyone planning a move during the Corona pandemic needs to take a few points into account.
Because different regulations to contain the virus apply both in Germany and abroad. For example, wearing a medical face mask is mandatory under certain conditions.
